Cross Roads Baptist Church in Minot.

Dr. Bob Farmer is the pastor of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He has been in pastoral ministry for 28 years.

He is married to Jenny Farmer and has five children, Josh, who is married and lives in Minot and works for BNSF, Jeremiah, who lives in Minot and recently graduated from Police Academy at Regent State College in Devil’s Lake, Anah who is currently serving as a Missionary/ Student in Bussan, Korea, Charlie, who is a junior at Minot High and Faith, who is a freshman at Central High.

Bob grew up in a Christian home and had a strong Christian influence from his parents, Chris and Charlie, who both served in their local church.

Bob’s early mentors were Dr. Skip Heitzig and Dr. Walter Martin whose ministries gave him a love for expository preaching, apologetics and theology.

Bob is a graduate of Pacific Christian College, Christian Bible College and Seminary and Andersonville Theological Seminary. He has also done post-graduate work at Trinity Southwest University and received certificates from the Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching.

Bob has served churches in New Mexico, Nebraska, South Dakota and now North Dakota.

When asked, “What is the most important task for ministry here in the Dakotas?” he replied, “The most important task for ministry here in the Dakotas is the same most important task for ministry in all the country and around the world, PREACH THE WORD!”

When asked, “What book most influenced him outside the Holy Bible?” Bob responded, “Hodge’s Systematic Theology. Hodge helped settle some questions I had and he opened up a whole new world of inquiry which led me to a deeper study of God’s word. Dead theologian’s still rock!”

Bob enjoys hunting, fishing, motorcycling and playing guitar and other instruments.
